Priego de Cordoba is often considered one of the most
attractive and historical towns in Spain, with a long spanning
past that includes invasions by 7th and 8th Century Caliphates
from the Middle East. Our judges were impressed by the
group focus the tour company has, aiming many of its guided
experiences at schools and academic groups. Organising and
coordinating with larger groups can often be very difficult, as
is providing these groups with a meaningful experience – but
Paseos Priego manage to impart every group, large or small,
with a real sense of understanding and personalised attention.
We loved the architectural focus of the tours; the town is
packed with baroque buildings, towering churches and
historical monuments so expertise is needed. Every guide
was able to give incredible detail about all of the sights along
the tour, adapting the level of detail based on whether the
audience is a group of dedicated students, younger children
or visiting adults. We also were impressed with the tasting
sessions Paseos Priego organise, with typical Cordovan
food and drinks mixing beautifully with the historical
elements. Paseos Priego wins the Service Excellence Award for
Cordoba, Spain.
